Q-I presently have a Honda Backrest, but I want to upgrade. What about my HighLighter? A-We recommend Mustang seat products, and will modify your HighLighter to fit a Mustang backrest
free of charge, if you pay shipping. The trim will be shortened to match the back pad, and the lower mount holes widened to fit Mustangs slightly wider dimension.
Q-What about fitting a Corbin backrest? A-The Highlighter is available to fit the Corbin backrest pad for stock sissybar.
Q-The HighLighter sure is bright. Im worried about it overloading my
charging system. A-Super-Brite focussed LEDs are used to make the HighLighter. LEDs are incredibly efficient light producers. Actual current draw at max brilliance for the entire circuit
meters at 111mA, which equals 1.3 watts, or less than one fortieth of the current draw of the stock headlight on low beam. The alternator is rated at .546kW, which means it could power 420 HighLighters
if it had nothing else to do.
Q-How am I going to replace a light bulb if one burns out? It doesn't look like there are user-serviceable components inside. A-Not to worry. LEDs dont
typically fail. These are rated over 100,000 hrs MTF, which is 11.4 YEARS of continuous operation at full power (with the brakes on) Lets see, if you braked your bike continuously for 11.4 years
at an average of 50mph you would burn out your brakes within a few miles of riding five million miles or 200.7 times around the earth. Betcha a Corona you'll wear the wheels off the bike before you
burn out a HighLighter diode. But, if you do, its guaranteed, just contact us for a return authorization (and the Corona).
